What is a chaplain, and how is this different from counseling or therapy?

A chaplain is a trained, compassionate listener who offers spiritual and emotional support through everyday conversation. Our chaplains are not psychiatrists, psychologists, or clinical therapists, and a conversation with one doesn’t feel like a clinical appointment. It feels relaxed, friendly, and unhurried — a safe place to share what’s on your mind, talk through a decision, or simply be heard without pressure or judgment. Many members tell us this is exactly what they were looking for: real support that feels human rather than clinical.

Do I need to be religious, or follow a particular faith, to become a member?

No. Chaplain Support On Demand is faith-based, but our chaplains meet you wherever you are. Whether you have a strong faith, are exploring questions, or simply want a caring person to talk to, you are welcome here. Conversations are guided by what matters to you, and our chaplains are there to support and encourage you, not to push an agenda.

How do the sessions work?

When you join, we thoughtfully pair you with a dedicated chaplain who gets to know you and your story, so you never have to start over or explain everything each time. You’ll meet with the same chaplain regularly, by phone or online video — whichever fits your schedule best. Each session is dedicated entirely to you: your struggles, your victories, or simply how your day is going. Your chaplain listens without judgment and helps you move forward with greater clarity and peace.

What membership plans are available, and what do they cost?

We offer three individual and family plans:

Starter — $49.99/month: A dedicated chaplain, 3 thirty-minute sessions per month, 25% off any additional sessions, access to the resource library, and 24/7 emergency support.

Growth — $79.99/month: A dedicated chaplain, 4 forty-five-minute sessions per month, shareable by up to 4 people, 35% off additional sessions, plus the resource library and 24/7 emergency support.

Premium — $99.99/month: A dedicated chaplain, 8 fifty-minute sessions per month, shareable by up to 8 people, 50% off additional sessions, plus the resource library and 24/7 emergency support.

Can my whole family share one membership?

Yes. Our Growth plan can be shared by up to 4 people, and our Premium plan by up to 8 — making it easy for a household to get support together. Family memberships can also accumulate more rolled-over sessions than individual memberships (more on that below).

Counseling

Our chaplains bring more than words. We bring presence, compassion, and a listening ear. Whether it’s a crisis call at 2am or a quiet moment of prayer, we are here for you.

What happens to sessions I don’t use?

We never want you to lose support you’ve already paid for. Any unused sessions automatically roll over to the next month. Individual members can build up to 6 sessions at a time, and family members can build up to 12. Use them whenever life calls for a little extra time with your chaplain.

What if I need more support than my plan includes?

Some seasons of life simply ask more of us, and your chaplain remains available whenever you need extra time. Members receive a discount on any additional sessions beyond what their plan includes, applied to these standard rates:

30-minute session: $50
45-minute session: $75
50-minute session: $85

Your discount depends on your plan — 25% for Starter, 35% for Growth, and 50% for Premium — so additional support stays affordable during the times you need it most.

What does the 24/7 emergency support include?

Every membership includes peace of mind: a chaplain is always on call for urgent moments. If a crisis arises, you can call our dedicated line any time, day or night, and someone will be ready to listen and support you until your primary chaplain is available. No one should face a frightening or difficult moment alone.

Please note: our chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support and are not a substitute for emergency medical or mental health care. What if my chaplain isn’t the right fit?

The relationship with your chaplain is at the heart of your membership, and it should feel comfortable and trusting. If you ever feel your chaplain isn’t the right fit, you can request a new one at any time, no explanation needed. Our goal is simply to make sure you have someone you connect with.

Do you offer memberships for businesses, churches, or other groups?

Yes. Our Corporate and Group memberships are designed for organizations with 10 or more members, at $19.99 per member per month. Each member receives a dedicated chaplain, 3 thirty-minute sessions per month, priority scheduling, the resource library, 24/7 emergency support, and a 25% discount on additional sessions. Organizations also receive a monthly team-building training video and a leadership training program. Groups of 60 or more members add moral and ethical advising for leadership and a monthly 60–90 minute leadership session.
